Building Author Friendly Icon Systems in Drupal

Icons get used all throughout a UI to make use more interesting and intuitive. Within Drupal projects, most icons are hardcoded within the theme and not easily available to authors. Many solutions that provide author control aren't intuitive, and often duplicative of what's in the theme.

In this session we'll look at ways site builders can consolidate a project's icon usage into a single source, improve how authors interact with a UI's icon library, and how to provide safe guards ensuring icons are used in the correct contexts.
